Saint Thomas Giving Tree
Christmas is the season for giving. Volunteers of the Giving Tree begin preparing for this tradition of Saint Thomas in early November. They compile donation requests from a number of sources in the community like outside agencies, nursing homes, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Then the real work starts. The group makes ornamental tags for the Giving Tree that is located in the main entrance of the church. Parishioners take the tags, fill the requests and return the gifts to the church. The volunteers then sort and distribute the gifts to nursing homes, hospitals and families. Come join in on the fun, and personally experience the joy of giving to others in need.
